For the first time since 1999, the New York Knicks are Eastern Conference Champions AGAIN!. Led by MVP Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and OG Anunoby, the Knicks have brought championship basketball back to Madison Square Garden NYC and moved one step closer to the FINAL prize.

This design was inspired by the 5 Mic Rating System from The Source magazine, where only the greatest hip-hop albums earned a perfect five mic score. Just like those classic albums, this Knicks squad delivered a championship worthy performance, earning their own Five Mics Basketballs for getting us the Eastern Conference crown back to NYC. I had to show some love to one of the most impactful players right now. Alvarado 🇵🇷🇲🇽 brings nonstop energy every time he steps on the court, and what makes this even crazier is that he’s from my hood, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Big inspiration seeing somebody from the hood on that level.

The event was originally scheduled for the end of the month, but they rescheduled, and the client asked if I could make it happen within 3 days' lead time. We made it happen! So… this idea came to me because I never have business cards
and I wanted something unique that actually spoke to what we did.

Every time I went out, I’d introduce myself and explain what I do.
Someone would ask, ‘You got a card?’

And I’d be like, ‘Hold on a sec…’

I’d pull out my old iPhone 8 (don’t judge me)
unlock it, scroll, open Instagram…
and by that point, I’m just hoping they’re still standing there.

I wanted something quicker.
Something more unique and memorable.
Something that actually represented what we do.

Then I remembered these tiny T-shirt color swatches
that come in apparel catalogs.

I’ve had them laying around since 2015,
and I get a new catalog every year.

So I decided to upcycle those swatch cards
into micro-printed T-shirts business cards.

They show the shirt color and fabric,
our print quality,
and yeah… they’re kind of cute.

On the back is a QR code
that takes you straight to our work on Instagram.

Every piece is printed by hand,
which makes each one a tiny, one-of-a-kind work of art.

Each design is also available on a full-size T-shirt,
inspired by growing up in New York.

Some people keep them.
Some people collect them.

It’s not just a business card.

It’s a mini version of what we do.
